Her "anatomy scan" went very well. As far as they can tell our baby girl looks as healthy as can be. She measured a week early again and the PA told me she will most likely be born a little early. I'm hoping that whenever she is born, it's on a different day than Marisha's baby (my sister who is also expecting in April) so that it's easier for my mom when she comes in town to help!
Here are a few of my favorite images that were on the CD we got after the sonogram. :)
I like the first one of her profile, it looks so great! =) Very exciting. Not sure how I feel about 4D ultrasounds in general... lol.
ReplyDeleteAre they basing dates on the head measurement? Usually they do an average between head measurement and CRL (crown-rump-length). Sometimes they estimate weight too, but that's silly because weight estimates from ultrasounds are REALLY inaccurate (like +/- TWO POUNDS!)
ReplyDeleteThey always told me different dates too, but it's just because in my family we have big heads (my kids got it from both sides, so I knew they'd have big heads). To put it in perspective, my 7lb 1oz baby and my 8lb even baby both had the same size head: 36cm/14.5in. The only other babies I know who had bigger heads were around 10+lbs. Typical head size for an average size baby like that is more like 13-13.5in. :)
My babies came right at their due dates. So I wouldn't fret over being early or late or that the baby would get too big or whatever. Your body will only grow a baby that you can birth. God was smart like that with the whole design thing. :)
I am so excited that I found your blog! Very cute pictures!
