Family Fun Days

Highlights of Saturday and Sunday with family! :) Sariah was begging me to go outside Saturday afternoon after dad arrived with Wally and Mary Lou. I suggested she ask "Grant-pa" and found them out there about 20 min later. Dad said she kept saying "1 more time, a big one!"
That evening we met Marisha and Forrest at their campsite at Rigby Lake where they made dutch oven blue berry cobbler for us. It was delicious!!

Gorgeous Idaho sunset over Rigby Lake!

Thought this was a cool cell phone shot of the sunset and reflection on Forrest's truck.

Mom was so good at keeping Annabelle warm since her mama forgot her jacket! One layer of blanket turned into about 4 until she decided to take her inside the Rodeback camper to warm up her cold little handsies! We all joined them not long after as the dessert was hot and ready to eat, yum! Marisha also shared one of her many juicing recipes which was cucumber, kiwi, squash and pineapple mixed with lemonade. I really enjoyed it! The cucumber was strong, but it was really refreshing!

Marisha is always so good at making sure she has two of a kind when she packs toys for Hurley knowing she'll have a friend there. They played with shovels in the dirt then mostly Sariah chased Hurley around the camper as Hurley squealed and laughed in delight. They both tripped at one point (wearing sandals over socks and not able to see where they're going haha) but they each hopped right up and kept playing.

Stopped playing for a second to check out the dead dragonfly. They are adorable and hilarious!

Sister "selfie!" (Yes, I actually use that word, Marisha) haha. I like to think I'm hip!

Sunday comes along! And after a long night with snotty cuties and lots of coughing from Sariah, I decided to stay home with them. I also had a sinus headache and sore throat. Probably the climate change, but we're happy to be home nonetheless.

Annabelle jumped herself to sleep this morning while Mom and Mary Lou diligently prepared the delicious Sunday dinner. It was so nice for them to take care of so much so I could attend to my sick girls this morning then enjoy them and my nieces later on in the evening.

AnnieJ felt pretty cool peeking out her crib after Sariah got to take a nap in her crib.

Marisha bathed not just Hurley but Sariah too. They had fun "sharing" in the tub today while saying their favorite lines of "Mine, no mine, my turn, no it's my turn, etc." It makes me so happy to see them enjoy each other though and especially to hear them communicate in their own way.

Feeling MUCH BETTER after long naps, these two had fun with Mary Lou's idea to put Annabelle in the basket. It cracked me up! Annabelle seems to just love being the center of attention!

I love this sweet girl's face! Brooklyn is always such a good sport with me taking her pictures. She may think I'm a big nerd,
but whatever makes it happen!

Mom had dad bring one of their extra high chairs this weekend for us to use since we have 2 eating at the table now. Sariah thinks it's pretty dang cool! And Brooklyn does too :)

Addie plays so well with Sariah! She let Sariah swing first, then after pushing her for about 5 minutes, they switched. She ran up to me and exclaimed "I just asked her really nice "Sariah, can I please please have a turn on the swing now? And she said okay!!!" It was adorable.

Sariah was thrilled to learn her daddy will be home in 3 short days!! So was her mommy!! (I did this this morning) :)
There's no hiding how much she loves her dad, that's for sure.

Gorgeous Lexi is growing up so fast!

After a full day of commotion, Annabelle was tuckered out and fell asleep amongst the noise again only this time being caressed by Wally's soothing touch! It was precious!

Not bad for a timed on the camera...which was sitting on the garbage can!

a random funny shot on the last camera timer photo!

And a few others from my camera for fun:

*Gasp* "Mommy! I found...

...a rock!"

Be still my heart! Those eyes and that smile get me every single time!

Lots of Sisterly Love Today

Sariah was very inclusive today and was wanting to do a lot with Annabelle. If Annabelle was doing it, she wanted to do it. And if Sariah was taking a bath, "Annbelle takes baff too?" They even cuddled together in the Pack n' Play before bedtime. (Or Play N' Pack as mom would say). I wanted to see if Annabelle's swimming suit fit and didn't want to undress her for the bath until I could fill the tub with clean water.

Sariah had decided to pee in the bathwater while standing up. This was not even 5 minutes after sitting on the toilet for 15 min to poop and doing neither. I said "uh oh, we don't pee in the bath, only in the toilet or diapers." (Or in the shower if you're like daddy) :-D So to make sure she understood I said, "So where do we go potty?" She gets this light in her eye and smirk on her face and says "in...the...baaaaaff!" Hahahaha. Silly Sariah..

I am in love with these two!
Can't wait for their daddy to come home tomorrow. The techs will be installing in Cedar Rapids now (instead of 45 min away in Waterloo which they did the first month we were here and 1 1/2 hrs drive in Davenport where they've been for the last 3 weeks. All the guys stayed in hotels out there since they doing usually finish work until late at night and it doesn't make sense to drive all the way home and back in the morning each day. Of course he comes home Saturday nights so he can spend Sunday with us, but he also would come home Wednesday or Thursday during the week just so we could sleep next to each other and he could spend a few hours with us in the morning before heading back to Davenport. He had been sleeping on a twin air mattress in-between two queen hotel beds where 2 other guys slept. After about 2 weeks his back hurt so bad he asked his friend/co-worker JT if he could share the bed with him. Hahahaha. JT was a good sport about it & I'm sure the other guys have teased them about it a lot but Grant can actually wake up in the morning without back pain so he could care less what anyone else says. Sleeping next to his wife who probably has bad breath, snores, talks in her sleep, farts not in her sleep and wakes him up in the middle of the night to see if her poo looks weird probably sounds luxurious compared to his recent sleeping condition! Well, okay, maybe not.
